The Department of Animal and Veterinary Sciences calls for applications for a position as a research assistant from 15 September 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter.
The position as research assistant is a fixed-term scientific position of 6 months.

If you have hands-on experience with analytical chemistry and laboratory techniques and experience with troubleshooting, optimization of laboratory protocols and generation of data, we can offer a challenging job in a dynamic research environment.

Tasks

• Development of analytical protocols for bromine and iodine using ICP-MS
• Hands-on experience with analytical equipment such as ICP-MS and GC-MS/LC-MS
• Laboratory techniques for sample preparation
• Analysis of mass spectrometric datasets and statistical calculations
• Contribute to in vitro analyses
• Contribute to carrying out animal experiments
• Contribute to publications and other relevant communication

Qualifications

• Relevant university master's degree
• Good theoretical background in organic chemistry, molecular biology or biotechnology
• Experience with analytical laboratory techniques and data analysis (ICP-MS, LC-MS or GC-MS)
• Preferably experience in scientific publication
• Skills and interest in teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Skills and interest in research with possible continuation as a research assistant or in a possible PhD degree programme

Short-listing is used. This means that after the deadline for applications – and with the assistance from the assessment committee chairman, and the assessment committee if necessary, – the head of department selects the candidates to be evaluated. The selection is made on the basis of an assessment of who of the candidates are most relevant considering the requirements of the advertisement. Formalities and salary range

Natural Sciences refers to the Ministerial Order on the Appointment of Academic Staff at Danish Universities under the Danish Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation.

The application must be in English and include a curriculum vitae, degree certificate, a complete list of publications, a statement of future research plans and information about research activities, teaching portfolio and verified information on previous teaching experience (if any). Appointment shall be in accordance with the collective labour agreement between the Danish Ministry of Taxation and the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations.
