PostDoc in RNA therapeutics for metabolic diseases
The Interdisciplinary Nanoscience Center (iNANO) at Aarhus University invites applications for a 1-year postdoc position. This opportunity offers candidate an exiting change to join a research project focused on understanding cellular communication patterns and advancing the targeted delivery of therapeutics.
The starting date is 15th February 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter.
We are looking for a candidate to join our interdisciplinary research team evolving around RNA therapeutics and nucleic acid nanotechnology. The postdoc candidate will contribute to projects focusing on the delivery of therapeutics to relevant metabolic organs and tissues with the aim to develop specific targeting properties for nucleic acid therapeutics.
The place of work is Gustav Wieds Vej 14, 8000 Aarhus C, and the area of employment is Aarhus University with related departments.
As of 1 August 2026, iNANO’s educational and research activities will be transferred to the faculty’s departments. Consequently, your employment will as of that date be with a department.

Qualifications
Applicants must hold a PhD in molecular biology, biochemistry, or a related field, accompanied by a strong track record of achievements in the field.
The candidate is expected to have a strong background in nucleic acid nanotechnology and RNA therapeutics, including relevant experimental techniques. Previous experience in areas such as delivery systems, conjugation chemistry, cell and rodent experiments will be a major advantage. Additionally, the candidate should exhibit strong project management skills.
Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal, are essential. The applicant should be socially oriented and feel confident to work as part of an interdisciplinary team.
