Experienced Project Manager for Port of Esbjerg focused research projects
About the job
As a project manager, you will be part of the department’s project office and work closely with a small team of colleagues, all focused on administratively supporting Danish and international research projects from the application phase to reporting. You will work closely with researchers, project partners and stakeholders, sometimes at their location, to develop project proposals or to facilitate/implement/support project work.The main tasks include:
- Administrative research support for larger and smaller research projects in close collaboration with colleagues, researchers, project partners, and stakeholders.
- Coordination of research support activities in collaboration with researchers, project partners, internal business partners, and stakeholders.
- Data collection and reporting.
- Preparation of documents, guides, reports, and related materials for the research project.
- Organize meetings, prepare minutes, etc.
Your qualifications
The role as Project Manager (academic employee) requires extensive experience in project management, an insight into the conditions of companies in Mid and Western Jutland, and ideally Port Esbjerg’s activities.We expect you to:
- Possess significant knowledge of project management and reporting.
- Have experience from research projects.
- Have insight into and understanding of the conditions of companies.
- Communicate fluently with researchers, research participants, companies, and stakeholders in both Danish and English.
- Be good at collaborating and networking.
- Have a structured approach to task execution and the ability to handle multiple processes simultaneously.
- Have a Master of Science with specialization in urban design, engineering or similar.
Terms of employment
The position is a 5-year project position. It is a full-time position with an average of 37 hours per week with an expected start date of 1 October 2025 or by agreement.Your workplace is Aarhus University, Department of Business Development and Technology, Birk Centerpark 15, 7400 Herning, Denmark.
Employment is positioned as an academic employee based on an agreement between the Ministry of Finance and academics in the state.
