Ambitious lab technician in fertility research (VvdW lab)

Job description
You will be an essential member of a recently established international research lab. In the lab, you will support ongoing research activities, perform routine tasks and drive an own research project. All research activities will be in close collaboration with Vera and all other lab members. Moreover, you enjoy training newly joined lab members common laboratory techniques.You will be involved in the following experiments:
- Cell culture of mouse embryonic stem cells
- Mouse work including surgeries
- DNA work including cloning
- Histology including immunofluorescence stainings
- Confocal microscopy
- Embryo work
You will be responsible for routine tasks such as:
- Maintenance of lab safety, including registering chemicals in KIROS
- Ordering and invoice management
- Shipment of materials
- Organising lab supplies
- Preparing buffers and cell culture media for common use

Who we are
The lab of Vera van der Weijden is embedded in the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics. The lab investigates the molecular drivers of fertility, by investigating embryonic developmental competence and implantation potential.
