Academic Employee in seed science and technology
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Specialist in Seed Science and Technology to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in planning and conducting various types of experiments on seeds of diverse crops. Experience of image analysis, and analysis of seed longevity and germination data will be an advantage.
You should have good organizational skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks and priorities efficiently. You will be expected to support visiting scientists and students, including monitoring of experiments and collection of data. You will be expected to communicate results clearly to project collaborators. This position offers an opportunity to work at the intersection of fundamental and applied seed research.
Qualifications
• MSc or PhD degree within seed science.• Technical skills in setting up different types of seed experiments.
• Experience in advanced technologies applied to seeds.
• Relevant working experience in an international academic environment.
• Interest and skills in training of visiting scientists and students from different countries.

At the Department of Agroecology, our main goal is to contribute to sustainable solutions to some of the world’s biggest problems within the areas of soil, plants, animals, humans, and the environment. We want to make a difference by contributing to both fundamental knowledge generation and the attainment of sustainable production systems via innovative research, contracted policy advice, and education.
