TEXT: Center of Contemporary Cultures of Text at the Department of Communication and Culture is looking to hire a student assistant to assist with research on NLP and programming at TEXT.
The period of employment is from 1 August 2026 to 31 December 2027.
Tasks:
- NLP pipeline development for literary/textual corpora
- Development of interactive research communication tools
- Data collection and annotation infrastructure
- Literature/corpus monitoring and synthesis
Qualifications:
- Enrolled in a relevant degree programme in computational social science, such as, cognitive science or linguistics and is on their MA
- Solid programming skills and good communications skills in writing
- Interest in the core mission of TEXT: How AI influences text culture
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks across different projects, and communicate findings clearly to an interdisciplinary team
The position averages 6 hours per week, but the workload may vary.
