Student Instructor for Hacky Hours Study Cafe

We are looking for a dedicated and academically strong student instructor to support fellow history students working independently on digital projects in relevant courses like Kildenært emne or BA-projects. The support will take place through a hacky hour study café in the library, two hours a week. The Hacky Hour Study Café is meant to support the use of tools introduced in DAM in other courses and student projects.  The employment takes place in the period September-December 2025. The exact date will be agreed upon appointment - depending on the instructor's own teaching.

Responsibilities

As a student instructor, you will:
  • Help students contextualize and apply the tools introduced in DAM to new projects.
  • Assist with troubleshooting their machines and support their understanding of core concepts.
  • Guide students in working on their own project.
  • Demonstrate best practices and foster the development of computational thinking.
  • In short: “Teach students how to fish – and occasionally hand out a free fish.”

We expect that you:
  • Have completed the DAM course or a related subject with good results.
  • Are interested in teaching and motivated to help others understand complex topics.
  • Are patient, approachable, and able to communicate technical material in an accessible way.

We offer:
  • A stimulating and rewarding student job where you strengthen both your academic and teaching skills.
  • An inspiring learning environment where you can make a real difference for your fellow students.

Application

Please send a short motivated application and your CV and upload via this link no later than September 15th.
