Postdoc in Pharmacology

The Department of Biomedicine at the Faculty of Health at Aarhus University invites applications for a postdoc position in pharmacology as of 1 February 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter. The position is a fixed-term, full-time position for 2 years.

About the research project

The research project focuses on investigating preclinical models of pulmonary fibrosis and whether novel pharmacological approaches can improve the condition.  

Your job responsibilities

As a postdoc in pharmacology, your position is primarily research-based and may involve teaching assignments. You will contribute to the development of the department through research of high international quality. In your daily work, you will work closely with colleagues on your project, where you will receive supervision and guidance.

Your main tasks will consist of:
  • Independent research of high international quality, including publication.
  • Molecular/cellular pharmacology studies, imaging studies in cells, tissue, and/or animals, and drug and/or hemodynamic studies in animal models of pulmonary fibrosis, with a particular focus on collagen deposition and turnover.
  • Build and pitch a relevant business case to attract funding

Your competences
You have academic qualifications at the PhD level, for example, in pharmacy/pharmacology and testing drugs in preclinical models. Relevant course or similar in building a business case.

You have good interpersonal skills, are inclusive and team-oriented, and can contribute to a good work environment.

We expect you to be fluent in oral and written English. To be assessed as qualified for a Postdoc position, you must meet these academic criteria.
