We are looking for a practically oriented Marine Engineer or Electrical Technician with solid technical understanding and experience from complex, safety-critical environments to join our pilot and demonstration plant team. You will play a key role in testing and developing next-generation green technologies at pilot scale.

Responsibilities
As part of our pilot plant operations, you will be responsible for:
- Operating and monitoring pilot-scale setups and process units
- Maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing mechanical and electrical equipment as well as instrumentation
- Building and modifying test infrastructure setups in collaboration with colleagues and project partners
- Collecting, documenting, and structuring experimental data
- Contributing to a safe and efficient work environment
- Identifying opportunities for improvement in procedures, processes, and equipment
Qualifications
We imagine that you:
- Hold a background as a Marine Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, or Electrical Technician
- Have hands-on experience with maintenance, troubleshooting, and operation of technical systems and installations
- Are comfortable working with instrumentation, sensors, automation, and process control systems
- Can structure and communicate technical data clearly and effectively
- Thrive in a multidisciplinary environment and take ownership of your work
- Have strong English communication skills, written and spoken
- Hold a valid driver’s license – a truck certificate is an advantage

Department of Biological and Chemical Engineering is a multidisciplinary research area. It includes diseases and health, materials, environmental technologies, power-to-X, biorefining, energy technologies and food and ingredient technology. The research at the Process and Materials Engineering section is based on both theoretical and experimental methods, and include the design, development, operation, monitoring, control and optimization of chemical, physical and biological processes.
