Part-time IT-workers for development of IT-infrastructure to support research projects

Are you interested in IT infrastructure ranging from IoT systems to networks to high-performance computing (HPC)?

The TECH Faculty hires additional employees for the TECH Research IT (TRIT) team to support researchers by developing, maintaining, and accessing IT infrastructure for research projects.  Specifically, we are looking for full-stack (front- and back-end) developers and security enthusiasts. Our tech stack is mainly on Node.js/TypeScript/Pug/React with both SQL and NoSQL;  experience with containerization such as Docker/Kubernetes is helpful.

Job description

  • Contribute to a team developing various aspects of accessing cloud computing resources for research aspects.
  • Implementation, deployment and expansion of open-source projects such as overleaf, Grafana, or Dataverse as well as specialized tools to ease the use of HPC and research infrastructure.
  • Integrate tools and application with existing AU infrastructure and implementations (e.g., ERDA for data management or Microsoft Azure AD-based SSO with SAML of authentication).
  • Support of users of research IT and related activities.
  • Analyse security risks and develop counter measures.
  • You will be involved in various activities around IT infrastructure ranging from IoT projects, robotics, networking, cloud computing and HPC among others.
  • You will be working in a team towards establishing a support culture for research-based IT infrastructure needs.


Your profil

  • have experience in at least one of the following fields (not limited to these):
    • Software engineering
    • Web development
    • Thread analysis and security policies and configurations
    • Network administration
    • Cloud computing
    • High Performance Computing
    • Server administration
  • If you’re a student and study either software technologies, computer engineering, computer science or similar, the work will be very relevant to your degree.

Formalities and salary range

Salary and terms as agreed between the collective agreement for IT employees (PROSA) in the service of the state (The employment is subject to section 15 of the the collective agreement for IT employees (PROSA)), and LC/CO10-S (the Confederation of Teachers’ Unions/the Danish Confederation of Public Employees of 2010) collective agreement.
