Job description
The Plant section is looking for skilled students to handle various office and laboratory support tasks.
- You will be working primarily with database updating, including loading and registering the group's seed collection using barcode scanning or manual data entry.
- You will be involved in organising and maintaining data on PC or Mac, drawing on your experience with data management and basic familiarity with laboratory work and organisation.
- You will also be contributing to cleaning of materials used in plant cultivation, as well as tidying up and preparing equipment and facilities for ongoing use.
- These activities will be in close collaboration with the Plant section team, though you will be expected to work independently following an initial training period.A systematic and detail-oriented approach is essential for this role.
The working hours are flexible and will on average be three hours per week. Scheduling will be arranged with consideration for exam periods.
Your Profile
- Experience in the use of database systems, data entry, and digital organisation tools on PC or Mac
- Basic familiarity with laboratory work, including handling and organising materials and equipment
- Collaboration skills — ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a research group
- Communication and language skills — proficiency in English; knowledge of Danish is an advantage
- Personal skills — you are systematic, reliable, and capable of working independently with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail

The department comprises approximately 150 scientific staff, 80 technical and administrative staff, 80 PhD students, and 500 master's and bachelor's students (in Molecular Biology and Molecular Medicine).

Salary and terms as agreed between the Danish Ministry of Taxation and the Union of Commercial and Clerical Employees in Denmark/State (HK/Stat) for clerical staff, laboratory technicians and IT employees and the joint collective agreement concluded between the Danish Ministry of Taxation and the Organisations of Public Employees - Denmark - Danish State Sector (the OAO-S joint collective agreement).
