Laboratory technician for Crop Health at the Department of Agroecology, Aarhus University, Slagelse

The Department of Agroecology at Aarhus University, seeks a skilled and experienced laboratory technician for a full-time, two-year position in Natural Product Chemistry and Environmental Chemistry at Flakkebjerg, 4200 Slagelse. Start date August 1., 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter.

You will be part of the research section Crop Health, where you will work closely with researchers, technical/administrative colleagues and possibly students. The position provides the opportunity to contribute directly to the department’s core tasks and daily operations in an active research environment.


Your profile

We imagine that you:
  • have good experience with sample preparation, HPLC, mass spectrometry (low- and high-resolution MS)
  • would like to further develop your knowledge of chromatographic and mass spectrometric techniques
  • are able to organize your own work, have a problem-solving attitute, a good sense of order, and good collaboration skills
  • have good IT skills and communicate fluently in English.


Your tasks will include

  • planning, coordinating and carrying out tasks within plant sample processing, sample analysis, and teaching
  • contribution to the development and optimization of workflows and processes
  • practical and/or administrative tasks related to the department's activities.


Place of work

The place of work is Aarhus University, Campus Slagelse. The affiliation will be with the Department of Agroecology.
