We are looking for an academic employee (AC-TAP) for a one year position at Department of Biological and Chemical Engineering, Aarhus University. The position is available from February 1st 2026 and workplace will primarily be Incuba Science Park, Gustav Wieds Vej 10, 8000 Aarhus C in the Section of Industrial Biotechnology.

Expected start and end date
This postion is a one year position and the expected starting date is on February 1st 2026.
Area of responsibility:
Part time of the position will be teaching and part time project work in research groups. This includes safety work, planning, introduction to students etc. There will also be administrative tasks related to organizing and maintenance of the laboratories including maintenance of equipment, validation of methods, preparation of SOPs etc.
The following areas of responsibility are included:
- Teaching and instruction in microbiology and molecular biology, experience is a must
- Protocol writing for teaching modules, experience is a must
- Responsible for research and teaching laboratories and equipment
- Assistance in research projects
- Overview, implementation and maintenance of structure and procedures in the laboratory
- Planning, instruction and training of students in different microbiology/molecular biology analysis
- Waste disposal and labeling of chemicals
Qualifications:
- Educational background as microbiologist (preferably on phd level)
- Experienced in teaching
- Knowlegde of laboratory work from related positions
- Strong collaboration skills
- Teamplayer
- Ability to cooperate in a dynamic and hectic environment with many different cultures
- Independent and committed
- Good at prioritizing and structuring work tasks
As AC-TAP at the Department of Biological and Chemical Engineering you will work together with teachers, researchers, students and other technical personnel.
